I searched the site and still being new to these Big Bolts was unable to come up with what fits and what doesn't.

My '63 c60 blew a front tire. When I went to get another tire mounted the store wouldn't touch them. I have the 2 piece rim. What wheels will replace them? The local store here couldn't give me any information.

These are the 20" 2 piece steel wheels with 10 holes. I want something I can buy new so I can go ahead and get all six. How do you measure the bolt pattern on a 10 lug?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble, Ron. Was the place that refused to touch them one of those cookie cutter car tire places? A lot of us go to places that work on semi trucks to get tires replaced/remounted on the 2-piece rims. I have a little hole-in-the-wall place here and my 2-piece rims don't faze them a bit.

After reading multiple post about people having trouble finding a tire shop I stopped in at the local tire place that works with alot of farmers in the area. They don't have a problem with the split rims either. They also said they could refinish and powder coat the rims for $21 each.

I guess I will continue searching for a shop. I can't believe there isn't a replacement wheel.

I don't know if they have stores in your part of the country but Les Schwab here in Oregon didn't complain at all about my split rims.

There is a replacement rim for the two-piece 20" rims for the 1960's vintage Chevy 2 tons.

It is a single piece, 10 bolt, 22.5" semi tractor rim. The center hole is the only problem matching up the new with the old.

I replaced all six on my 1966 C60 with them.

I bought them through my local truck/Ag tire dealer when I bought new rubber.

Any particulars on the wheels BigMac? Do you remember the brand name? That's exactly what I am looking for.

Rumors, What kind of two piece wheel do you have? Do your wheels have the ring on the outside edge. If so any truck tire shop will change them for you. If you don't have the ring on the outside edge you can get the ones with the outer ring. Secondly how big is the hole in the middle of the wheel? I picked up several wheels but the center holes were too small. I keep looking for wheels for my 54 6100 and I haave an extra set now. Good Luck Redcoat

When you say 2 piece rims,if you are talking about the rims that come apart in the middle into 2 sections,beware!most truck tire shops don't like to fool with them for good reason. They are dangerous. They did away with them for good reason,a lot of men got killed and hurt by them. Now the split rims and the ones with the 1 piece lock ring can be safely changed by any good tire man. These rims are fairly easy to find used and are much safer to change than the 2 piece rims.

The wheels are as follows:

Accuride brand
Part # 1200350048
22.5" rim with a 6.75" center hole
10 bolt with a 8.75" spread
Price in February of 2000 was $149.00 each
I put 10R22.5 Radial tires on the wheels

I purchased 6 rims and tires for $2325.13 and put them on a truck that I paid $600 for. Go figure !!

But, I never have to worry about them again.

Your center hole may be a different size. Check it carefully.

Thanks BigMac. I have the 6.25" center hole but they have those listed so I should be good to go. I am going to take the wheel off and take it to the shop here in town that should be able to order those wheels and get prices. They know what they are doing and should be able to make sure my measurments are correct. I wonder how aluminum would look on it.

Here are pictures off the wheels that are currently on the truck. These are the "widow maker" wheels aren't they? I would hate to change em out to only find out I had been had.

i done some searches on the internet and found wheels now inc .com phone 1 800 782 5145 they have been ib business over 100 yrs making wheels for all kinds of stuff they have 4 20x6.5 10 bolt 2 piece wheels on hand at 150.00 a piece if you need to order more the the price is a liitle bit more because of steel price.am awaitng a call from gm will try to find out who they got their wheels from and try and see if they can make the ones you want.fred

I have a set of six sitting in the barn.

Hope you get the wheels your after. They won't be cheap but are well worth it.

With proper safety equipment, and non-damaged pieces, 2-piece split rims are fine to change. Those horror stories came mostly from people who either didn't know what they were doing or took shortcuts...

ok, did I miss something here?I thought the bolt circle was 7,25"?not 8,75"enlight me!

I'm curious about how and why these old wheels are dangerous? On my 68 C60 bus I have the kind with the tire on a ring and a centerpiece to which the ring bolts...are they dangerous?

The 20" wheels on my 4400 have the outside ring. The bolt hole pattern is 7.250" and the center hole is 4.750". I have found some 19.5" 10 lug one piece wheels that the bolt pattern is 7.250" but the center hole is 5.250. These came off an old GM motor home. I was told that some wheels off of some 3500 Heavy Duty Chevys will work also.
If you find some be sure to check and make sure they will fit over the rear hub. The back of my 4400 has 16" hubs and not all of the wheels I found will fit over it.
I haven't put much weight on the truck yet but think that before I do I will make a spacer to fill in the space in the difference between the 4.750" hole and the 5.250".

Sawby, your "Dayton" type wheels are a very different animal than the "Budd" type wheels being discussed here. Are the rim sections where the tires mount solid, or do they look like they should come apart?

the rim piece appears to be solid. I have a spare front tire in the back of the bus and as I recall there are no seams on the inside of the ring. That word "dayton" is familiar, I think that's what my diesel mechanic friend called them. As for the rear wheels I dont know, I would imagine the inside rear tires are the same as the front, but I haven't looked at the outside ones
