Please correct me if I’m wrong but I believe on the early/mid 50’s trucks, specifically, the standard black painted wheel had a pin stripe? I came across another post on here the other day that actually gave pinstripe colors based on the wheel color. Wheel colors were based on if it was a deluxe or not and two tone. I have a 54’ that I’m going to go black on the wheel and am thinking about doing a pinstripe. I haven’t been able to find anything showing either a picture of an original wheel with pinstripe or literature talking about the location and size of it. Any information is welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.
My parts truck has the 3 painted pinstripes on it. Blue rims, white stripes and it is a 3 window regular/standard cab truck.

I have a couple of pinstriped wheels. I'll try and remember to post a picture of them tomorrow.
According to the GM Vehicle Info kits, black trucks would get a silver pinstripe, but I don't know if that would apply for black wheels. The pinstripe colors are shown on page 87 of the 53 Vehicle Info Kit. I have a couple period pics of original 3-window work trucks that were Omaha Orange with black wheels, and no visible evidence of pinstripes on the black wheels (although they're kinda dirty). I think only the deluxe trim trucks got a pinstripe.

Thanks guys so far for your comments. The Jim Carter literature is interesting giving the width of the stripe. That’s what I was looking for also. I was able to locate the past post that talked about wheel color but it also referenced some documents that showed the wheel color and pin stripe color during a couple years. One was what klhansen supplied already.
Here are pictures of the wheels on my 38. Looking at MT's photo the size and positioning are the same. The difference being the "center" stripes are two in number and both 3/16 wide where on my 38 there are three with only one being wide. The width of the wide stripe would be the same. Keep in mind these were done by hand so they won't be perfect uniform stripes. I'm showing my spare which is still original and my road wheels that I had blasted, powder coated then striped.

Here's some pics of a 4-1/2" wheel with pinstriping. Must have come off a Suburban or a deluxe cab pickup as it's painted Forester Green with the Cream pinstripes.

The black rims that Tiny posted are the '37 & '38 Chevy CAR 8 slot rims & they are not the same as the AD truck rims & the pin striping on them would not be applicable to the Advance Design trucks.
The original wheel pin striping appears to be more like 1/4'' wide on the preserved Advance Design truck rim I have....Colors are identical to Kevin's pics above.

A few years ago, I brought a vintage pinstriping wheel to homecoming. It was very simple to apply any colour of pinstripe on either wheels or elsewhere on the truck.
Thanks everyone for the pictures and the information. I was leaning towards a pinstripe but after seeing the original stripes I think I’m all in now. Not something I see at least around me. That’s a plus for me. And it’s original so that’s a huge plus. Im trying to stay somewhat true to the truck on my resto with a few upgrades. I’m trying to go for a stock look on first glance.
