Is there a dual master cylinder that bolts into the factory position on a 41-46 trans? If no then that opens up more possibilities for a donor trans and I will fab a mc bracket. Of all the possible trans options (40s/50s) , are all 4 speeds granny geared? My plan was/is an “original”-ish trans and a rear gear 3.55 conversion. Lots of 55+mph driving in my area.

The stock diameter 3/8 pedal to MC rod is good for about a foot longer and then larger needed if longer distance. I don't cut a new hole in the floor for MC access but just fill from underneath with a mirror and douche ball.

I have seen a lot of different relocation assemblies. my build is not. a restoration by any means. I was trying to keep as stock as I could, but if relocating makes more sense, so be it.

The Chevrolet 3-speed tranny is preferred as it has synchro on 2 and 3, and 1st is geared so low you hardly use it most of the time. My plan was/is an “original”-ish trans and a rear gear 3.55 conversion. Lots of 55+mph driving in my area. Ive been told that will work well, I had planned to do that...but now in up to my eyeballs in a T5 conversion, swapping out the torque tube, swapping in a '55 Series 2 axle, and will put 3.38:1 gears in it. Good luck with your conversion, the r/p are the biggest factor, but to bring down RPM overall on the highway you need OD, IMO. They are pretty much all on shelves anyway. Took 12 years, 1 move and a pandemic to get the chassis painted. Front end is being assembled now. So next is engine trans rear. Hopefully soon.
