Please check in once you're home and let us all know you made it safe. For the 22 of you that joined us, "Thank You" for a great adventure. I'm know everyone had a great time and enjoyed putting a face with a name.

We arrived home today at 3:45. Thank you Tuts 59 for organizing a great get together for the Southern Bolters! I had a blast, these last 3 days, with the greatest bunch of folks I have ever met. My son and grandson also thank you. My grandson Eli especially enjoyed Lugnutz magic tricks! I pray you all return home safe and sound.
God bless!

Back home in good shape about two hours ago, and Lugnutz is headed for home with about a dozen more parts than he came with, including a pretty complete 1958 283 engine that was given to me a few years ago, some cylinder heads, valve covers , and a few other bits and pieces that I've been stumbling over for years! Good luck sorting that mess out, Jay! Quite an enjoyable weekend, and it was very good to meet some aspiring new stovebolters who aren't ready for Medicare yet!

Sounds like a fun time. Sorry I missed it.

I’ve been all weekend just a few hours down I-40 in the Memphis area. Oldest son playing baseball. Rain screwed up one of the fields so it’s gonna be a late night.

Wayne and Nelda are 1/2 way home. we're in Columbus, GA. We bypassed Chattanooga and Atlanta for more scenic back roads.

I can't stop for gas or a pitstop without someone asking about the truck.

Vicki and I made it home late this afternoon after a 8 hour drive thru construction and some heavy down pours.
Really had a good time all weekend and thanks to Craig and his wife for getting the ball rolling.
I foresee this being an annual event!
Time for bed and I hope to post a few pictures tomorrow.

Just got home an hour ago. Cincinnati traffic was a bummer. Fantastic trip. Better than I had hoped for. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
Thanks fellas, and thank the ladies that made the cookies, potato salad, etc.

Rain and a car on fire on I-40 slowed me down some but we still made ii in about 5:30. So nice to see old faces and lots new ones.
Great job tut and everyone else for making this a memorable occasion. Stovebolters rock.....and Cheryl enjoyed making friends with all the ladies.
If all goes well I'll see y'all in K.C.

I pulled in my driveway at 11:15 PM after a long day of driving. Jerry and I stopped for breakfast on the way to Dellrose Tennessee. We swapped some stories, swapped engines, and I had a short tour of his shop area. My journey home from his house took me through Birmingham Alabama and then east on interstate 20 to Columbia, SC. The truck ran fine and I didn’t feel sleepy. I kept the speed at 62 mph.

Tom pulled into his driveway at 10:30 pm last night. After waking up, helping unload and greeting my grandkids, I drove another 100 miles and arrived safely at home at 12:30 am. Those Detroit roads are easier to navigate at that time! I was packing meals for our county Meals on Wheels at 7 am!

Nelda and I got home at 5:30 this Monday afternoon. Beautiful drive through the backwoods of Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. Picked up the Interstate in Tifton,GA.
We had a great lunch at the Smok'n Pig BBQ in Valdosta, GA.

We really enjoyed our time with the Stovebolter's and their wives. A good time was had by all.

Well Linda, Megan and I stayed at the Campground, we are heading home in the morning. We did visit the Nashville Zoo on Sunday and checked out a local Flea Market. Today we went to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green (A must see) . We also visited the Lost River Cave, took the boat tour into the cave (Pretty Cool).

Linda and I returned on Sunday without incident, we had one of the shortest routes home to Crossville but always and adventure down curvy highway 70 in an original 1946 with that low-geared 4-speed transmission. Like the rest, we have some photos to post and want to thank the entire group for your support of my book, "Refueling the Past". "Enjoy the Ride"!!!
