Has anyone replaced their vent windows and side windows with the repop parts available. Out of convenience and shear laziness I’m considering purchasing it was want the opinion of anyone with experience, once bitten twice shy.
I replaced my vent and door glass in 2008 with parts from LMC truck. The glass was perfect size and the seals have held up. I found the Truck Shop Manual invaluable. No step is difficult, but a specific order of disassembly and assembly is required. Once apart you'll surely want to replace the vent and door window seals, those parts also available.
Pat58, did you find drilling out and replacement of the rivets difficult, also I was considering ordering the complete assembly verses taking the time to take everything apart but cautious about this idea not knowing if everything would line up with the original door What did you set the glass into setting tape or etc sealant
It does take some time with a cheap hand riveter like I had. Glass setting tape worked fine for the window bottom in the sill but I recall I needed something thicker than what I purchased for setting glass in the metal frames around the vent and window.

Pat I took the other route by purchasing the entire assemblies vent glass and frames and window with frame. While it took me a day to install as we know repop parts are never direct fit but do work with patients and time fiddling and adjusting for their short comings. I still need to decide what way I’m going with the driver side but what’s there is working to keep the weather out so I’m in no hurry to complete. Thanks for your comments
