Has anyone installed a Tremec 5 speed in their 3100 pick up and used an aftermarket tranny crossmember? I installed the TKO 600 and a dual master cylinder from Performance Online (sits 6" further back to the rear) and of course the stock crossmember won't fit back without major fab work. Has anyone else dealt with this problemo with an aftermarket crossmember? Thanks for any suggestions.

If that is, you're running a original (or original type) 6 cyl Stovebolt engine. The trucks that came with SM420 4 speeds which is one heavy sucker have no transmission crossmember. It weighs about 150 lbs, a T5 weighs about 75 lbs. Don't know about a TKO 600, but if less that 150lbs and if a Stovebolt engine, I'd just bolt it to the bell housing and call it good.
Now, if running a V8 please disregard the above.
