Well I tracked down my fuel starvation problem (I think). I found a leak on the body of the fuel pump just before the attachment bolts, and think it is either sucking air through here or streaming all my fuel out under load (it does leak at idle as well, but the bowl stays full). I found a couple of fuel pumps on ebay that look exactly the same but state that they are for 37-50 and my motor is a 52 235. Do you folks think that these NOS pumps are just circa 1950 and that's why they state those years or are there slight differences in the body or mounting area that won't work on my motor?
As always all answers appreciated for this newbie,
Lorne

You would be surprised how many things you can still get and don't have to buy used off ebay. Check some of the online sources too, if they don't show a different style between 52 and other years, you are probably safe in assuming the same fits both. | | |
