Quick Question -

Has anyone ever successfully reapaired the Day/Night lever for a rearview mirror (1961), or know of a source for replacement of the lever only? (see photo).The factory mirror is in excellent condition and I would rather keep it "as built" than installing a repop mirror for such a simple piece.

Can the plastic be bonded and hold? No
Can you buy just that piece? No
Can it be drilled and pinned and bonded like a broken ankle? Maybe.
Can you buy a donor and swap that piece? maybe
Could yours already be a repop? maybe
Should you buy an aftermarket replacement? Yes

Low milage, original truck - mirror is factory. Will hunt for donor. But glad I was able to supply a few laughs.

I will have to look at my trucks. I dont recall this bracket, but I dont notice that sort of detail until reminded. Thanks for the question. Anyone know the part number, date ranges, and whether it is a stock bracket?

HB, not really a bracket. It is part of the interior rear view mirror. It is the black plastic flip lever for a day-night style mirror seen in pix link. One of the the side "pins" has broken off. Click
