What is the typical cost a guy would expect to spend to have dual exhaust put on his 1956 2nd Series Chevy Shortbox? My engine has the exhaust manifolds, but nothing else. And can a guy just forget about adding the exhaust manifold heat riser valve if it won't be used in the winter time? Thanks for the help.

i highly recommend two things. one make sure all you stuff is attached your going to attach. springs, sway bars, shocks. brake cables brake lines, if your going to do any under cab frame brake master stuff do that. Your final transmission mount. spare tire if under in rear or new tank. I had a few. Well crap wish this was over a couple of inches etc. Second it take it to several shops pricing was all over the place. you want guys you can talk to explain any "future" upgrades you plan on doing. And then plan on a few heat shields. made a big difference in some locations like starter, brake masters, floor etc.

I did enjoy watching all the folks look at me driving it to muffler shop about 14 miles from me. No pipes just straight manifold. LOUD was a nice word. The head turns when I was first at a light and put pedal to the floor. LOL
