Anyone used GMB brand water pump (RockAuto). Cheap price, new not rebuilt, avail for my '54 bolt engine in the 46.Tempted to buy one for the shelf.
Just finished my leaf spring/shackles/bushings/etc changeout, took the bolt for a drive with the wife, all great with a lot less rattles.
Next day opened the garage & there was a stream at the door, seems water pump (seal) had constant drip. Pulled pump (without pulling radiator, didnt know that would work) went to my local FLAP, they're sending it to area rebuilder, glad to be able to get my own unit back instead of someone elses core.
Just an update... I sent my existing water pump off to regional norcal rebuilder, came back today just fine and installed no issue, FWIW I did order the GMB pump as well for the spares shelf, RockAuto sent out a pump but branded FVP not GMB, go figure. Looks very high quality, matches up well with my orig unit on my '54 235.
