Back in the early 60's when I was in grade school a friend and I used to write to car companies, gun companies, farm equipment companies, you name it, and ask for pictures and information. We got a ton of stuff back. Chevrolet sent us a ton of literature and photos. I saved it all and recently came across it while going through some stuff. I just sold most of the literature, but kept some 8 x 10 black and white glossy photos that I had received. I think some of them were press release photos, as the press release info was attached to them. Thought you might enjoy seeing them.
It says that I can only attach 5 pics. I'll put the rest in another thread.
That second pic was taken In Brighton, MI. Here's what it looks like recently. The feed store is now a furniture store. At least the town hasn't died like so many.

DUH!! It never occurred to me to reply to my own post with those other pictures instead of starting a second thread. Had a major brain freeze there! Thanks to whoever combined them!
Thank you for the pictures. It is interesting that Kevin found a current picture of the site of the 1960 Apache in front of the feed and grain store in Brighton, Michigan. What tipped you off to the location? I would enjoy seeing more before and after truck pictures and always enjoy the historic pics. Jim

I looked at the street sign in Rich's picture and when I used google maps, there was only one result. Made sense, too, as Brighton is just west of Detroit. Had to fiddle with Street View a bit to get close to the same angle. Pretty amazing what the internet has.
Rich, guilty as charged. I reported your post to Martin, who likely combined your two threads. I was scratching my head for a bit till I found your original post with the pics, then "The rest of the pics" made sense. Thanks for posting them.

Kevin, Thanks again for doing that! Like I said, I had a major brain fart there. I should have known enough to do that myself.
Great job on the detective work as well to figure out the location of that photo.
