When I bought my truck the intake and exhaust manifold were off the head. Can anyone give me a list of the proper bolts and or stud dimensions.
I've also included pictures of a part that I can't remember where it goes. I normally bag and tag all the parts and take lots of pictures as I disassemble but I missed this piece. It's spring steel, approximately 12"x1 1/4" and forms a loop as shown in the pictures. Thanks for the help guys

That's the brush shield for a starter or generator...wraps around the main body to cover the holes to keep the dirt out.

Chevy’s,

When installing the manifolds, if they have been apart, it is best to snug up the inter manifold bolts, but not tighten them ‘til both manifolds have been attached firmly to the head.

Put a straightedge against the manifolds to check for level.
Assemble parts loose. Shake it a bit to make parts line up. Slowly finger tighten.
Torque when everything looks good.
Don't forget the alignment rings.

Did somebody quit making tape measures, rulers, machinists' scales, and dial calipers with depth gauges?

Chevys till Id Did you know you can grind the alignment rings flush on the 235 intake then it will bolt right-up on the earlier head that has smaller rings (216} whole assembly fits.
