I've looked under door parts, door rubber, and a couple of other places but I can't find the 1.5" and 2.5" pieces of rubber that slip under two horizontal bars inside the doors of my '46 Chevy truck. Anyone know what they're called, or where I can buy replacements for them?

To my knowledge no one makes this rubber strip. I went to Lowes and compared mine to material in the roofing and hardware dept. Do not remember what I used but get something similar. The stripes are anti squeak/vibration strips and no one will ever see them once the door panels are installed. If yours are not destroyed, try cleaning them up. Check this YouTube. Harold

Steele Rubber Products has a section of their facility that will match size/profile of any piece of rubber. Also their catalog has a section with photos of profiles so you logically could find something from another vehicle that would do the job. Catalog is free for the asking. Complicated website though.

The door weather strips for my 49 pickup were missing and my door gaps were to tight to use the orignial rubber so I found what I needed on fleabay. Be it peel and stick or glue on there is a ton of rubber products available. As Harold46 mentioned, nobody will see them go find what you like and what works for your doors. Download Steele Rubber Products catalog as it has much more to look through than what's shown on their website. The second link is a kit that may have what your looking for.
