Any opinions on changing the ball bearings for roller bearings on the front wheels? I have seen there is an upgrade on the smaller trucks. And preferred wheel bearing grease? Also looking for this spring for the parking brake mechanism. Tried Lincoln Clutch and Brake and nothing so far.

Why change the design of a bearing that has worked for over 70 years, particularly on a truck that's not likely to ever get loaded to anywhere near its designed capacity? Ball bearings in good condition, lubed and adjusted properly, will outlive you, and probably a couple of more owners in the future. Change for simply the sake of change doesn't make good nonsense. Any "DB" rated wheel bearing grease will have more load bearing ability and leak resistance than what was available when the truck was new. Just don't use general purpose chassis grease- - - -it won't stay put.

I worked with a guy that said "If it don't broke, don't fix it." He used to say it just like that. Master of mechanics, not English. Thanks for the info!

Skydog If the balls fall out replace the bearing-otherwise I'd use them. My 7 units have been fine for up to 72 years so far,and they have been loaded. When I get out at the coffee shop I feel the hubs,if there is any trouble you'll catch it that way !
