Hello, I'd like to preface my post/question by mentioning that I have done some research but haven't been able to find a definitive answer to my question. Hopefully I'm referencing the parts correctly, I'm new to the whole vintage truck world.

I have a 64 C10 with some front cab to frame perches that are in pretty rough shape. I have seen a number of videos and posts where people have successfully repaired them with new steel, large structural washers, etc. My problem is that my front perches are in pretty rough shape and I'm questioning whether it's worth attempting to repair them.

I have researched and found that the rear perches are readily available and can be ordered from LMC, CJ Pony and the like.. the trouble is, I can't find anyone that makes a set of replacements for the front. I'm curious as to why and was hoping someone could help me fill in the blanks... There is a good chance I'm missing something and there is a reason they are not available... Looking for some guidance from the experts here who have faced a similar circumstance.

Thanks in advance

If they can't be purchased, as long as you can get good dimensional information from the originals, just about anything can be fabricated from steel.
It just takes time.
I'm not familiar with the cab mounts in question, but I could probably make some if I had the dimensions.

Thanks for the reply klhansen. I've found it odd that only the rears are available... from what I can see.

I have a follow up question as I did some additional research last night and found that they make replacement cab frame mounts for the 67-72 C10. Can anyone who has had both generations confirm or deny whether these will work on a 63-66 frame? I'm hoping this option will save me going down the fabrication route because I don't have enough good material to provide accurate information.

At first glance they look close, only thing I noticed right off the hop is that the holes on the one side are offset whereas mine are equal. Not a big deal if I only have to drill one new hole.

Thanks again

LMC catalog shows them.

Cant vouch for quality or fit but they appear to be available.

Can you share a link Bob? I looked on Brothers before and only ever saw a set of rear perches but they were definitely more than $20

Guess I didn’t understand what you were looking for, the actual frame bracket! Sorry about that. I guess modifying a 67 would be the best solution.

JSW,

Sorry about the late reply, I'm not on here nearly as much as I'd like to be, but I happen to have a set of front brackets off of a 65. PM on its way
