This wouldn't change your capacity or ride quality much, if at all. Always use new U-bolts when reinstalling, I've found it's cheapest and easiest to take your existing ones to a spring shop and have them bend a set up. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 1,003 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 1,003 | Ditto to above. Do your self a favor and get the ubolts at the same time you get the leafs. Ive had varios issues with pinion angles on one of my tow trucks. And even with newer ubolts on it, i couldnt get em to break loose. A local spring shop is like previously said, is your best bet. You will need to know da spring width and length you need. Adding a leaf really only increases the height by the thickness of the added leaf.
I was going to get leafs replaced on my springs (worn eyes) but just buying complete replacement was cheaper.

Thats how i ended up with a pinion angle issue. I did get 4 inches of lift tho.... Getting it back to ride hieght plus atad would be alright 👠if sagging is da issue? Mabe a set of ¾ ton leafs might be an option also if load capability is where your at? There are alot of options really. But whatever you do, do it the right way 1st. When I went to get U-bolts for a big fertilizer truck I saw that the bench was 2 inch plate ahd they had studs about 6 feet on down, well when he steps on the pedal to bend oh about 1 1/8 u-bolts its amazing !! Tuff tools ! they work on big mine trucks too. | | |
