Hi all-
My truck does not have appear to have the "traditional" mirror mounts on the cowl....there are however, holes in the cab on the door frame (see photo).
Is there a certain type of mirror that would attach here please?

Thank you in advance!

Google peep mirror might be what was on there.

I have a similar hole and mine goes thru the inner sheet metal on the post also. I believe mine is from a spotlight.

Phil, that is a classic spotlight mounting hole. Seen hundreds of them in my many years in Law Enforcement.

The stock mirror holes may have been filled in. The holes for the mirror are also drilled thru the brace inside the cowl.

Odd...no sign of any stock holes in the cowl....makes sense it would be for spotlight, but ideally would like peep mirror there...usual suspects websites seem to only have the ones that clip on top of door frame

I doubt there weren't originally holes in the cowl. Like I said, they were probably filled at some point in the truck's life. Peek under the dash and you'll see the holes in the brace there. Here's a picture.
