I have a 1950 3600. Has the eight lug wheels. Checking to see if anyone knows whether the wheels I have will accommodate the center caps. Attached is a pic that shows the measurement approximately 11 inches to the edges of the lip on the wheel.
Following... That wheel in your photo looks to be from a much later truck (like post-1960). I have a '51 3600 and am looking at using 8-lug steel wheels from a much later truck as well, to which I plan to install the six clips to hold the hub caps (3/4 ton hubcaps are 11" diameter). I know a place near where I live that sells old hub caps. I'm hoping they have a cap of the right vintage from a 3/4 ton truck so I can test the fit. When I do, if you don't already have an answer, I'll get back to you.

Looks like late 80’s ford steel wheel with the x9 stamp. You can simply pop rivet the hub cap clips onto them like I did on mine. The other problem I had (in your pic) was the holes in the wheel were actually too big for standard lug nuts. Whdn you tighten them the nuts sink into the hole too far and the flats start to contact the wheel. I used “big bulge” style nuts from the parts store and they worked perfect. One last thing was the “depth” of the clips. When you snap the caps on they will not be tight to the wheel. Mine had about 3/16” of space so I simply used 3 small nuts and tacked them onto the caps to take up the space and now they snap on tightly. Been running my setup for about 10k miles so far and they work great and look factory.
I have a 1950 chevy3600, my rims are from a mid 2000 2500 HD Chevy truck. I haven't got to the point of putting clips on to see if they will work yet being I don't have 3/4 ton hub cap yet. i have old 1/2 ton rims that i may try and reuse those clips. i just put disc brakes all the way around on my truck making me find different rims. i think i would still like to find some 17" rims

Whose front disc brake kit did you use? It was my understanding that there wasn't an easy way to put disc brakes on the front of the 3/4 or 1 ton trucks like you did.

Could you share a photo or two of your hub cap clip modification? Sounds interesting and maybe something I'd like to copy for my set up.

I bought the Kit from ebay. the dealer is Auto City classics out of Minnesota. they have a web page but that listing didn't show up on his page. here is the link www.ebay.com/itm/1955-1956-1957-195...ront-disc-brake-conversion-/350973126802 I had to take the flapper disc on my grinder it easy a few spots on the bracket to make it work
I would recommend TMF Manufacturing out of Colorado. These guys make the brackets and will sell the kits w/o calipers, if you want to save shipping, by sourcing them locally.
They provided great customer service during the install process.

I'm not finding anything on the internet for that company. Can you provide a web site of Facebook link?

this is the site he was taking about. I tried this site and when I was looking for the full kit it was about $200 more and shipping over that was to much. Lugnut4x4.com did free shipping and cost less. now they used 2 boxes to send to me and I was ok with that
