What changed between runs?? | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 97 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 97 | Did some air fuel changes and timing adjustments. It needs some more tweaking between 3k and 4k. I think I can fix that dip in torque. I'm also going to make some pulls starting at 1200rpm to get the bottom end of the curve fixed up. Since it's got a small verter in it (stock) I feel I should get that dialed in as well. I also have a couple other changes I'm going to make. I ported a stock throttle body last night and did some clean up as well as ordered an underdrive pulley. Once the motor is broken in fully I'll swap to a synthetic instead of the HD diesel oil I have in it now. I'm hoping to get it to 385rwhp and 375ftlbs. Then the fun begins with the bottle.

I have a few changes I will be doing (more than likely after I get married and back from the honeymoon) but the goal is 385rwhp and 375ftlbs.
Right now I am running Delo (HD/Diesel oil) and I will be swaping to Mobil 1 synthetic.
I have a stock crank pulley which I bought a underdrive pulley and waiting for it to come in.
I had a second Throttle body which I just finished porting and filling a big void in it to help air flow.
I'm hoping that does the trick.

If you go to LS1tech in the Hybrid section there is a ton of info there. Also, Performancetrucks.net is another great site. There is an older truck section under specialty vehicles. I go by LIL SS on both sites.

And the crossovers occur at different RPM for the two tests? | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 97 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 97 | Kevin,
I did not notice this. I'm wondering if the tach was not reading right on the dyno. I'll be back there in 3 weeks after my honeymoon (getting married on Sunday). I need to swap out the Delo oil for synthetic, put on an underdrive pulley and a ported throttle body. I'm going to make 4 back to back pulls to see what kind of TQ/HP each one gives if any. So I'll take a closer look at the RPM when I am there again.
