Hello. New guy to the forum here. I have a 1962 C-10 that I have been performing a resto-mod on. I am installing a Ramjet 350 fuel injected motor and am looking for help on how to install the linkage from the petal to the throttle body. Wondering what anyone else has used to solve this one. Thanks.

I have graphic of 8 cyl linkage. maybe a start.

I would go to a wrecking yard and grab a throttle cable set up, (making sure to get whatever brackets & sleeves for it), from a 1990's Chevy throttle body truck and make it fit.

This is my son’s 1968. Holley 600CFM carb. Throttle linkage from pedal through firewall is similar to my 1965 C10 and likely yours too.

The Holley bracket only required a short piece of cable. Clevis goes on pedal arm and the rest hooks to the carb.

This info might not be what you’re looking for, but just maybe.

We use 80's, 90's Ford cables for two reasons: They take a round cable housing mount hole in the fire wall (much easier than the GM square hole) and they have a built in throttle return spring so no springs or brackets needed. The foot pedal is the floating type so no floor bracket needed.

Fire wall cable mount is at the 11:00 O'clock position to the brake booster:

Thanks for the graphic. The only problem is the throttle connection is on the right side of the engine.

A cable can run to the right, left, or to an engine mounted in the box. Just get a long housing, like a gas door release cable, and then use a hood release cable as they will last indefinitely. Long cable housing, long cable, cut to length and your home free. If your pocketbook is healthy then go with a Lokar.

Check out Lokar performance products. They have all kinds of cables,pedals,etc.

Steve, I just swapped tranny's from a worn out Hydramatic to a 700R4 on the backside of a 305V-6. I bought the Bow-Tie Overdrive setup and the bracket is designed for the Terry Cable system. I had to change from the old bell crank linkage to a new cable wire accelerator setup. I did a full tutorial on the swap using a gas pedal from a 2005-2009 full sized Ford/Mercury.
