I need to replace the frame hydrovac on my 1962 GMC 4000. I have vacuum at all times through the breather vent behind the seat. The tag number on my hydrovac shows C-4012-E.

I cannot find a rebuilt unit or any cross reference to replace my hydrovac. Does anyone know of a cross reference number or where I can send my hydrovac to get it rebuilt?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Cordone industry rebuilds many types of hydrovacs and probably rebuild yours. I had them rebuild my unit on my 1955 chevy 2 ton and they did a great job. Cost around $200 plus shipping. You can find them on the internet. I had NAPA ship mine for me because it was considerably cheaper than shipping it myself. Hope this helps you

hydro vac.

Fleet-products.ca.

These guys have a big selection of hydrovacs.

It is where I purchased my new hydrovac unit for the 55 chev 2 ton. they updated the design and used a rubber piston seal in place if the leather seal. No one else had that particular model for sale. Your truck might be a different story.

Good luck

Geoffrey Rosenberg at Alretta Truck Parts in Massachusetts (508) 788-9409 has tons of brake part knowledge. I bought a rebuilt hydrovac from him recently.
