Have a 1955 2nd series pickup with a 265 ci engine ,need help how the clutch return spring is hooked ? It should hook some where around the steering gear box. I maybe missing a bracket or something. Any help ,or picture very much appreciated . Thanks

On my 65, it just goes through a hole in the frame. The hole is drilled up around where the VIN is stamped into the frame.

It's been 20 years since I changed mine over to power steering but I seem to remember that there was a small bracket mounted on one of the bolts on the original steering box.

Clutch spring attaches to a small ell bracket that's held in place by the oil pan bolt about 4" forward of the bellhousing.
