Ive looked at a million websites need an opinion on tire size i can only visualize the look but lost on sizes! Going w smoothie 15x7 6.5x5.5 painted inner w chrome outer. I want a wide whitewall even though not original - any thoughts on size and brand?-ive been lost in the tire world for days now and i cant decide! Im a hands on decision maker - which isnt possible in this situation! Thank you!!! Truck pic attached. Mismatches wheels at the moment.
Here is a picture of my Chevy with 15 inch smoothie wheels and Firestone 3 1/4 Inch Whitewall 670-15 tire. Hope this helps either way, do like it or don't want it
I'm living in Finland and none of the paint companies recognice the old Chevy paint codes. So I picked the best looking red I could find and that is Wolksvagen Tornado red LY3D
Cooper tires has radials that are 215-85R16 that are very closely matches the original bias-ply tire size. You will likely have to have your cooper tire dealer order them in.
Just had a set of 6.50x16 WW’s delivered from Coker Tire. These are the radial tireS that mimic bias ply outer tread ribs. They fit stock rims. I believe these come in 15” too. Impressed with the quality. They come with 3 1/4” whitewalls. Check out their website. Shipping shouldn’t be a problem. I ordered them at the Carlisle Swap Meet last week.
