I started mocking up my Ryan Falconer head for my 292. This is one head off his V12. The bore spacing is the same and additional head studs will need to be installed. Also a remote thermostat housing. I decided to have my main caps doweled thus removing the 800 hp barrier. I'm also stepping up to a 6-71 blower from my 4-71 and 2 650 dp carbs. My biggest concern is the push rod angle. I don't know how much that can be. The push rods are on the outside of the engine but they do clear the block. Leo Santucci has been helping me with this. He's a great guy and always to seems to have time for my craziness. He doesn't seem to think it's that big of a problem. I have seen BBC's with a lot of angle. If it works then I would build a frame and use the original cover design and probably pull a dry sump line out of it.
I can't get past the pushrods being outside of the block! An old farmer friend of mine would always say this about men who were way outside of the norm, "We need guys like him." That was all that he would say. Some would assume that he was being derogatory. I do not think so. He is a very decent man. I would venture that he meant that as long as we have "guys like that", the rest of us can feel better about ourselves. And for that, I thank you, sir.

I can’t wait to see/hear a video of that magnificent engine running. How much longer do you figure?ðŸ›

It's going to be a while. Hopefully next spring. Once I get the head figured out and the machine work done I have to take it to Hogan in North Carolina I think to have the intake designed and built. Then probably Wisconsin for the headers. I can't finish the dry sump until I decide if I'm pulling a line out of the lifters. I hope to start the chassis soon. Thank you.

Thanks for the update. However: are the 3 openings between the intake ports water connections? Was the cam supplied by Falconer, or is it a Chevrolet design?

His V12 is based on 2 inline 6's I believe. Chevy designed cam I think. I'm just getting into this. Yes the 3 ports are water outlets they will be plumbed into a remote thermostat housing. The bore spacing is the same as the 292. You would have to talk to Ryan about the design.
