Does anyone happen to know how the tie rod end should be assembled? Does it go tie rod end, metal cup, rubber washer? Or does the rubber washer go between the tie rod end and the metal cup? I don't recall where I got these ends from and I can't find any pictures online of this style. Also, does it matter which end goes left and which goes right? Or as long as I thread them on to the correct end of the long tie rod, it shouldn't matter? Attached a picture. Thank you

Hi Tim, 1950 Chevy 1/2 ton. The tie rods are replacement style. I hammered out the old balls from the steering arm. I took a better pic of just the tie rod end if that helps.

I have never used that style set.

The rubber is to seal the ball from road debris and water , then the metal washer holds it in place , you have it wrong in your first pic .

Normal fitment is right hand thread on the right side , left hand thread on the left side . Helps avoid confusion
