How about a Trailblazer?
I am curious if anyone has done, or thought about a Trailblazer frame swap under an AD truck?
I am not even sure if they have a "full" truck style frame or if they are a bit "unitbody" like the Chev Astro or GMC Safari vans.
I have not heard much about the in line 6 engine but the specs on it look good. Any comments?
The wheelbase is a bit different but perhaps that can be changed.
Any comments?

I believe the frame kicks up differently behind what would be the cab's location, complicating mounting the bed.

I don't think that the Trailblazer chassis will work very well without massive modifications. There's the afore-mentioned kickup, plus the front suspension has a rather high mounting point for the upper control arms and struts. There's also the issue of limited aftermarket parts, such as wheels.

Sounds like it wouldn't be too easy. I also checked out the Trailblazer Forum and they have some problems too, but that is the only time anyone writes in to a forum like that! !
Thanks for the replies...

Ter ,
Piece of advise on the inline 4.2 inline.Stay away from the early model they had issues with the sleeves. This is a aluminum block with liners. From the factory they cracked the liner flange on install. There is no lip at the bottom of the bore so the sleeve drops and the rings pop out the top of the liner and then it's over.

Thanks for the tip on the liners. I have still not found one at an auto wrecker that I can check out with a tape measure to guestimate how it all might fit under an AD truck. I like the power specs on the 4.2 and the idea of keeping the inline theme from the old truck.
Thanks
Ter
