I have a 65 c10 with a sloppy hood.Should I replace the hinges? I looked at new replacements, but they show different looking hinges on different sites.
How do i know if I'm getting the correct hinges if needed.
Would lubricating help,or simply replace?

Not really sure what you mean about sloppy but once the hood is closed the hinges should have little affect on hood movement .
On the inside of the hood on either side at the rear there should be an adjustable stopper that rests against the cowl to prevent lateral movement ,
at the front on either side are two mounts to adjust so as the hood sits on the fender properly , and the main latch is adjustable as well for vertical movement .
If the hood flops around in the center the bonding on the hood where it meets to two braces on the inside might have given out .

My hood won't close. Facing it when closing the lath is to the right by about an inch.
When I grab the corners and move them back and forth, their seems to be a lot of play.
I was thinking the hinges were binding or worn out preventing them from allowing proper alignment on the hood closure.

Does it come down straight until the point when it strikes the latch ? The latch is adjustable , but all this depends on the rad support being in the proper position as the latch is fastened to it . There are two bolts bolting the support to the frame , check to see if thee are tight .
the whole latch comes off with four bolts , take that off and see if the hood lines up . This will tell you if the hood is the problem or the latch point .
