#13601 09/10/2003 12:21 AM | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 130 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 130 | hello there mac. i'm thinking the same as you on wheels and tires. and i'm finding that the 15 inchers might be a little less expensive as far as tires go. if you can find the steel original type wheels in 15 inch, you could probably find one of the pep boys deals like 99$ for four tires to fit! i know, i'm pretty cheap. was that your truck at barrington with the ladder racks on it? i have changed the direction of ideas on my truck. it is all stock now and a little different than when you last saw it. it will soon be on the road.[seems like i have been saying that all summer].good luck.

I have found a nice set of 15in rims priced right that will take my original caps. what have you changed on your truck? | | |

The 15 inch rims were optional, and in my experience it was hard to find 4, so I went with 16 inchers. | | |
#13604 09/10/2003 1:27 AM | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 130 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 130 | i'm going to use steel stock type wheels with trim rings and caps, removed the dual carbs and gone back to a really good working single carb with oil bath air cleaner. i modified the t5 shifter to look like a stock 4 speed, but i might go all the way on that too and reinstall the stock 3 speed. some day i will make up my mind on it all.
