Hello All - I just finished going thru my Spicer 23 transfer case out of my 1958 NAPCO GMC 100. The issues that I was having... #1 Hard time shifting in/out of 4WD and Neutral. #2 Major Oil Leaks. Since I didn't find any really good pics/video on the rebuild, I decided to document mine for others. Here is the link.... 1958 Spicer 23 Rebuild Video or just search youtube for "Spicer 23 TCASE rebuild NAPCO". I hope it helps.

Finally, a video for these!
If only I'd have seen this last fall when restoring mine... though I may need to re-do it since I got a little aggressive while pounding bearings onto shafts 🤞
I was too chicken to pull out the shift shafts and ended up putting in lighter springs on parts of the interlock.

Nice paint job, looks sharp!

PS. here's some links showing a home-made 'pto' that I hung off the end of intermediate shaft
I haven't used it yet, truck should be running in a month or two though!
