Hi Just went through a bunch of parts I had bought from the filling station when I first bought the truck a year ago, and found a replacement knob for the wipers. My current one, is really beat up, like a previous owner had painted it, and removed the paint multiple times, and is rough and kind of nasty. SO, I go to put the new knob on, and it is very loose. Looking at the bottom, you can see that it's not an exact match for the original.
Before I start bending the the arms on the switch itself, any good ideas or tricks for making the new switch fit tight ?

Keith, can you attached an image of the top side of both knobs?
Do you remember where you bought your new knob?

I had no problem using the knob from Classic Parts and from Jim Carter (and, Chevs of the 40s looks correct).

I'll guess that the new one is on the left (too thin a "divider"), resulting in "it is very loose".

I would think if you cut a small piece off of a business card and fold it over, the to thin part of the knob, push it on the switch you probably just solved the problem.
