On my 54 Chev Panel I have original style after market wiper arms. They are bending on the smaller part of the arm nearest the blade and the blade is flopping left to right instead of staying rigged. Think that the arm spring is to strong, The blade tipped enough that it scratched the windshield . Should mention I have an electric wiper motor. is there a rigid arm and blade set up I can use ,anybody else have this problem???

I replaced the arms on my 55.1 and had the same problem. It turned out that I had not seated them completely on the spindles. Not sure why that affected it. But, seating them correctly solved the problem.
