That one looks very close. It appears the wider diameter section on the ball end might be too straight? Compare it with the one in the photo with the area in red circled. The bracket and bolt shown on the wide section seems out of place for your truck too?

A suggestion for you. This SITE has 2-3 1940 Chevy trucks for sale. Maybe if you ask really nice he may take some photos for you. You have nothing to lose by asking. He may also have a contact for parts that we do not know about.
