One sounds like the wet and slide decals that we put on model airplanes when we were kids. The other is a self adhesive vinyl. Does anyone have experience with either of these or have any idea as to how well either would hold up to the southern Arizona heat? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,237 Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part | | Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,237 | I used the wet and slide when in VA. I moved to Texas 18 months ago and I am having no issues with the gauge face decals.

Best if you can spray them with clear urethane after you apply them. The peel & stick will start to release on the edges and once that happens the curling accelerates. But the waterslide stuff isn't the same heavy gelatin we used. It is all high tech now. You can make your own you know. I explained how I do this a couple of years ago when I was re-imagining the 52 speedometer.
