I am going to look at this dump truck and am taking my gooseneck trailer with as i will probably buy. Says it has a 350 in it. The lady selling has no idea what it weighs empty or even what size it is. My trailers tag says 16000 pounds GVW. So am wondering what this truck curb weigh is. She said is in good shape. it was her late husbands. Any ideas, ad says c 6300 but i know there is no such number. I cant figure out how to put picture on here. but it is single axle duals with dump bed on it
The fender emblem will say it is a C series, perhaps a C60. The driver's door post should have a tag with the VIN which can be decoded. There will be a plate on the driver's kick panel or door post with the gvw rating. The 350 was not installed in trucks till 1969, at the factory, but anything is possible. You will have to check the numbers on the engine to be certain. The curb weight will depend largely on what the dump body weighs, there may or may not be a tag somewhere. Nice truck.

For what it's worth my 1956 dump truck is in the neighborhood of 9,000 lbs. I believe this is a 12,000 lb trailer. My framer friend was kind enough to help me drag it home.
