Hey everyone. Several have asked me to share the rebuild I'm doing on my 302.

Finally had a chance to get the 302 on an engine stand on February 8. A few pix of that.

So here are the first two videos of the series.

Part One.

Part Two.

Latest video on Valve Adjustment.

How I solved the Crankshaft Problem.

The latest upload on Repairing the Crank..

How to Read Spark Plugs.

EDIT by MODERATOR: Moved all of the YouTube videos in this thread to this post, to make it easier to view the videos.

Thank you. Have been working out a few details. I'll be able to repair the crank so all good there. I'll weld up the holes, chuck it up in the lathe, turn the nose down, then make a new hub. Then I'm fabrication an aluminum intake and running 3 Carter side draft carbs. I'll also fab up an exhaust header. Ill make my own pistons...were going .125 over and setting compression at 9 or 9.5:1 depending on what I have to do to the head. A bit of porting, seats, guides, etc. From there, weld up the cam, have it ground and re heat treated to my spec...and were on the way. I'm estimating to hit the 250-300 hp and 350-400 ft lbs torque outta this ol girl. We shall see. At 321 cubic inch, should easily be possible.

Hey all...since most of us are shut in, thought I may tinker with the GMC tomorrow. Wanna do a valve adjustment and thought about doing it as a live YouTube feed if anyone would like to see how to do it (for those who dont know how anyway). Any interest?

I'd be interested in watching. What time are you thinking? Is it difficult to access the live feed?

Thanks for following fellas and I appreciate the kind words. I'm excited about diving into the head. I'll probably have to start with mang bronze blanks and make my own guides. If I do that, stem diameter can be whatever I want. Will probably go with a 3/8. Think I'm also going to weld up a d regrind the cam too making some big changes to the overall design. earlier intake close, a tad longer duration, etc. Lift will be determined once I start flowing the head and see what cfms I can get out of it.
