Got my motor at the rebuilder, Thought I was set with the color of "Avocado green" for the block, but I keep finding GM orange on quite a few components. No orange on the block, however, I've seen it pictured both colors. Anyone know for sure?

Several similar colors on some of my GMC engines. Not as orange as Chevy orange, but more red. I use Rustoleum Sunrise red, seems to be a good match. Phosphoric acid underneath on steel.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm aware of the site, but didn't know about the discussion forum.
