Welcome to Stovebolt. You’ll most likely find all answers to your questions here. Plus some info you didn’t even know you needed. Good luck on your project......... Marty
Welcome superav, You made a very wise decision on joining this organization to learn about putting your truck back together. Now if you needed to learn about working on the lumber mill line, I know this place close to you.....LOL
Seriously, welcome to a good forum, let's see some pics of your truck.

thanks for all your replies. still looking at how to post pics-- seems that lots I've seen have a link that's not part of this site . I'm not that techno advanced. yet! the lumber mills are almost gone, they never liked my hair anyway! steam powered sawmill, company town all went the way of the dinosaur.
Welcome 'superav', Depending on how many pieces your '46 is in, it should not be to hard to put it together. Chevy/GMC is basically the same truck, different grille, engine, instruments... I have access to a lot of body parts for the '41-47 pickups, we have about six of them sitting up on our farm in Central Montana. The GMC engines were much better than the Chevy's, however, they can be expensive to work on. A more practical fix is to use a '63 or later 230/292 6 cyln. Most guys opt for a SBC, this can be problematic due to limited engine compartment space. Wm.

Used to be you had to post your pictures on another site and link to them. That is no longer the case. You can now post then directly. As mentioned earlier, the instructions on how to do that are shown along the left side of the page here.
