I'm getting my 1953 one ton AD ready for a safety inspection here in Manitoba. I found mine on a farm in Saskatchewan still employed hauling water. The Canadian model number is 1430 rather than 3800, but other than that they seem pretty similar. I've found so much great stuff on this forum so I thought I should start sharing some of the things I've learned. I checked, cleaned and greased the front wheel bearings - mine still has the ball bearings installed. The felt grease seals were pretty rough, and I found replacement seals from Rock Auto that fit perfectly. It's National 40973S. Inside Diameter 2.093 In. outside Diameter 3.156 In. These are not listed under the specific vehicle, but if you input the part number they have it on their site. They list the National 6064 for my truck, but the fit is wrong.

We're going to need some more oil!
