Does anyone have a center-to-center measurement of the holes on one of these? Im planning on putting tube style rear shocks on my ‘49 3/4ton and i have only seen these mounts for 1/2 tons? Im just curious if they are still the same bolt hole pattern. I will just make a set if needed but I kno these are readily available.

ALSO...im a bit confused with the shock position on the 3/4 tons. LMC shows them mounted outside the frame but thats not physically possible on my truck because the springs are very close to the frame. I cant find any type of literature or pics on the rear shocks mounted on a 3/4ton. It looks like they must mount on the inside but i would need to box the frame to gwt a flat mount point for the oem style upper mount. My truck originally had a lever action style shock but they were not there when i got it and i would rather conventional shocks out back to match the front ones that I already installed.

I bought a pair of these mounts from Chevs of The 40s. Their description states they are for 1/2 ton, but if you check their 'Fits Vehicle Models' towards the bottom, it states these mounts will fit from 1947 to 1954 - 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1.5, and 2 ton trucks. I'll check the measurement later tonight.

Looks like it's 2 7/16". Measure the U bolt to confirm.

Thank you rusty! I just measured my u-bolts and came up with the same so thats good. Im still very confused on the top mounting situation though. Seems to me I am missing something or the 3/4 ton frame on the older trucks equipped with lever action shocks is missing a bracket possibly.

The 3/4 ton shocks mount on the inside of the frame. There is a plate that is riveted to the frame so the upper bracket has an attachment point. The original lower bracket attaches to a bracket welded to the axle. So it is a bit confusing about how the lower shock mount you pictured would fit the bigger trucks. 55_2nd_Series has the mounts for a 3/4 truck. He sent me some pics via text which I've emailed to myself but they haven't come through yet. When they do, I'll post back here.

P.S. The pictures I got from 55_2nd_Series are from a '54 - '55.1. I'm not sure if the earlier 3/4 ton ADs were different.

That makes sense. Im still trying to find a picture but I figured i had to be missing something on mine.

Yes those pics are a great help. I will basically just mimic that upper mount setup but possibly a little tighter to the frame so i can just use that style bolt on lower mount that I originally posted. Those pics you posted have a different type lower mount welded to the housing.
