Rebuilding rear end on truck. Never worked on final drives Before so suggestions and past experiences are appreciated.
Final drive is out of housing and housing is off truck.
Seats that hold final drive to u bolts have a lot of cracks on upper halves. Bottom haves are in good shape.
Any opinions on repairing or replacing upper seats. See pictures

Going to attack gears and bearings today
Ring gear has 37 teeth

U joints can be found by dimension, find a driveshaft place in your neighborhood, after you have the dimensions.

U joints seem ok.
Front shaft bearing and bushing good
Have about .005 play in rear shaft and bushing on front of rear shaft
Do you replace front and rear bushings with Okies?

Made gaskets for u joint housings
I see the filling station makes o ring replacement for u joint housing rear seal.
I may try and make them
