Probably old news to some of you all, but I just noticed that the rear bumper on my burb is mounted on frame drop/extenders that are not present on the pickups.
This is for '55-59 trucks... is this also true for other generations of burbs & trucks?

Just thought I'd post some pictures!

Also, there seems to be precious few examples of rear hitches mounted on suburbans.
So here are pictures of one i made last weekend (bragging i know blush).
Also, another picture from scouring the internet link. Looks like whomever made that hitch went all out to stiffen the frame with two triangle braces sort of visible under the spare tire:
