The only gripe I have with that procedure is the use of that bolt-on wheel spacer. If I'm going to space a wheel out, I use a solid steel ring and longer lug bolts instead of using a bolt-on spacer. Most spacers are aluminum, and I just don't trust the idea of a lug bolt that doesn't tie the whole assembly together as a solid assembly. I have made round track race car caliper brackets by holding a caliper and pads onto the disc with air pressure and mocking up the caliper mounting brackets with heavy cardboard and an X-acto knife, then transferring the template pattern to a piece of steel and whittling it out with a Plasma cutter.
