Are you posting photos following these instructions? https://www.stovebolt.com/forum/manual/StoveboltImagePolicy.pdf

I’ll bet the same, Kevin

Would someone please post the link to the page that has the “new attachments” instructions? I found it last week, but I cannot find it now (the memory is steadily getting worse with age).

Tim, I removed that post, because that image button wants an internet address. Can't do that from a locally stored image. I thought it added the "[img]" tags that I see around his links.
Might have something to do with which browser is used. I can see all the photos glennj3 has posted. They open in another browser (Firefox) window.
Something weird is going on for sure. Glenn said above that he couldn't view the photos that show up as thumbnails in the posts where you and Phak1 attached photos. headscratch

Glenn, the reason your photos do not open up directly in your posts and we have to open them ourselves, to view, is the photos themselves are too large. Read the sizing instructions in the Image Posting Policy in the left margin of every page. While opening them up to a full page provides relief for some of our old eyes it can be annoying for those with slow internet. Carry on.

I use the full editor first, otherwise I can’t find the attachment manager.
I’ve never seen anything that states the file is too large 😕.

See the white paint, I had scraped off enough in this photo to make a good contact.

148 KB for that image

Displayed below using the Attachment Manager

That Attachment Manager is available below the edit box.

Are you using the Insert Image Link button/icon as an attempt to load/display an image?

I do not know what size your images are but when opened they appear full screen. Our program will only accept images less than 5mb. You can see from images posted by others directly to the threads that they do not appear full screen. That is what I based my “too large” suspicion on. I do not know why the “File too large” message is not showing.
Seems like we tried all this in the IT Short Bus Forum without any success. It is what it is.

Glenn, what are you using for a browser? I noticed you said you can't see the images that for most of us see directly in the posts.
Maybe the issue is your browser.
Your photo links open in the windows Photo app in full screen, Firefox asks me what I want to use and the default is "Twinui" (whatever the heck that is.)
