hello , I have a 1939 chevy 1 1/2 ton truck , I would like to put front shocks on this truck , any ideas or kits out there . and even a sway bar . I have not seen any places on this truck that
it ever had shocks . just trying to improve the ride . thank you 1pete1
If you are running Bias tires with stock front springs it will be hard to improve the ride. I don't think shocks will do much good as they are there to stop spring rebound and I bet your not moving the springs much at all if your not loaded.
Radial tires might help...

I added front shocks to my '38 1 ton. It made the front axle settle down. It used to jump a lot going over any bump and rut in the road. I bought shocks for a '53 Chevy truck from Rock Auto. I had to fabricate a top mount and drill the frame.

Well, at one time I had a 1941 1 1/2 ton that had knee shocks front and back. Unfortunately, I sent the back shocks to the scrap yard with the back half of the frame. The front shocks I may still have. If I do, I'll try and snap a picture of them for you.
