Anyone have the volume specs for M11 and M29 oil pumps?

Thanks.

Which engine do they fit? Bearing clearances and the condition of the crankshaft have a lot more to do with oil pressure than a specific pump volume does. Are you experiencing low oil pressure? In 60+ years of doing professional engine work, I've seen exactly two oil pump failures, and very few worn out pumps. Those were usually caused by the pump ingesting metallic particles which scored the housings and damaged the gears. Pump volume is directly proportional to engine RPM.

I'm building a full pressure 216 with a full flow oil filter.

The Melling M-45 is virtually a bolt-in swap. It's the same one that fits the 235 engine, and only requires a bit of creative plumbing to connect the inlet and outlet tubing. I'm working on an adapter to fit a small block V8 oil pump (Melling M-55) to stovebolt inlines, including the 216, which will supply about 30% more volume than the M-45.

Thanks Jerry. I'll check out the M-45.
