Hi. This is my first post. I bought a basket 1940 Chevy 1/2 ton project. The frame has a 1969 TransAm front clip welded on and I now have it on 4 wheels. The front doghouse is a new tilt fiberglass unit that I have no information on. But when I test fit the front I found the 14" GM wheels too wide for the fenders. I like the stance it would have if it were lower in the front but am thinking that if I go back up with the cab, the fenders would just cover the tires. I am still trying this to see if it would look OK but thought I would try a post for ideas. Thanks, Bob Wade

you could use wheels for a 93 up camaro.they have a lot of back spacing.

Thanks for the idea. I have looked on line at pictures and it seems I am trying to make the stance of the truck too low in the front. The Trans Am sub frame was welded into the original truck frame and gave it a down slant to the front.
It looks like I need to block the front of the cab up about 4" and line the hood assembly up with that. Any ideas on blocking under cab, building up frame, or building on to cab? I have several holes in the frame and am not sure which are cab bolt holes, any demensions? Thanks,
