Hi everyone, I have been absent a while. Hope everyone is well. I will be adding ac to my truck so I didn’t see the need in the vent that raises in front of the windshield. I assume it leaks on the road. Can anyone shed light on that? Right now I plan on welding it shut. Are there any other places like that i should delete? Also someone in the life of this truck welded a pretty ridiculous bracket setup for a wiper motor. pretty much takes up the whole inside of the dash. Does anyone recommend a wiper unit that doesnt take up a ton of room that they have been happy with? 1951 3600.

My cowl vent is welded shut. Side vent too. The wiper system from Classic Parts is pretty efficient, but it is braced off the cowl vent arm assembly.

I also plan on doing a underdash style ac unit next year but i love the cowl vent especially on nice days. Mine dosent seem to leak a drop..... just the corner of the winshield because the rubber surround is plastic now dang
