I purchased 2 Carter Weber carbs and the linkage from Stovebolt Engine company. Th1s carb has an electric choke. I only hooked up one. Likewise with vacuum. The Rochesters were remanufactured by Holly. I don't recall where I bought them but they never did pump fuel. I pulled those and installed Carter Webers this past weekend. The instructions on the linkage setup from Stovebolt left a lot to be desired. One little picture from one angle was not enough. I figured it out though. The carbs are mounted and the linkage is functioning.
I haven't plumbed the fuel or vacuum yet. One thing I learned from my Rochester install that I'll pass along. Don't even try to use compression fittings. I couldn't get those fittings tight enough to stop the leaks. And; they were easy to over-tighten and break.
I can't wait to see how those carbs run. I was very frustrated with my truck all winter because I wasn't able to enjoy it after I started the conversion to 2 carbs. I'm starting to get excited again. Now; if I could ever get some time at home to finish the job...
