For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 52 Member | | Member Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 52 | I have a 9 inch F-ord rear end- is this really a good rear end that will handle some juice on the back of my 51 3100 with a hot 327 and camaro front clip??
I have heard several dudes say how they are "sooo great" can anyone back up this F-ord rear-end story??????? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 398 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 398 | sswap-just pick up ANY HotRod, Street Rod, Truck or Off-Road magazine. You will find that almost everybody uses the 9 inch. Drag racers have been using 'em for years. They are probably THE most durable diff available to mankind-will take all the abuse you can pile on 'em and the aftermarket parts support is phenominal. Will one handle your 327? You betcha!! F**d 9 inch are used in som many applications, sothere's plenty of tech info and parts. They're well designed and durable. Go fit it! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 52 Member | | Member Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 52 | Wow, good to hear!! I guess I'll get on it- get the thing cleaned up and ready to go.
