For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 476 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 476 | Mine is a '47 3805 panel. My vision is to keep it looking original but update the mechanicals. Back in the old Lounge forum somebody posted a link to an Independent Front Susupension manufacturer who offers something heavy duty enough and will build with the spindles you specify. I thought I saved the URL in my files of links, but I can't find it. I must have neglected to get that one before the Lounge went away. Anybody know who that is?
Also, any other good links to IFS swaps? I would go with the IFS out of a newer truck if I could figure out a decent solution to the two problems of narrowing and lowering so that it appears stock in my AD.

It is not the same link as before, but they have something that looks usable. Gotta do some homework on it.
Anybody else know of a good solution for an AD 1 ton IFS?

I'm thinking I'll find a donor truck someday and strip the control arms, springs, spindles, and anything related and start welding onto my '52.

What's the name of that shop? Do they have a website? How about an address or phone number? Any idea what they charge?
Thanks
